Hey Barbara,
Just wanted to say hello, its Susan M. Can't begin to tell you how much we love, love, love Bambina. She is a very special dog and we are soooo glad to have her. I'm sorry that I didn't take one of her puppies as well cause if they have her personality they are also the best dogs. If you ever find another Bambina, make sure to contact me!!!!!
Take care and happy holidays.

Hi Ted & Barb
Thank you for such a great puppy!! He is at work with me right now and everyone is just loving him to death. I will send you pics as he grows up and let you know how he is doing. Gets along great with my 3 dogs and working on socialization skills with people. Getting much better at that here with me at work. Thanks again for saving this pup.. He will have a great life now.

Ted and Barbara,
We are really sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but wanted
to let you know that Lucy is a wonderful new addition to our home. We
actually renamed her Bambi due to her striking resemblance to a baby
deer! She is for the most part well behaved, potty trained and is
very affectionate! We'll keep you updated periodically, but wanted to
also let you know that her first vet checkup went well and she
received her second round of shots. She is due her final set of shots
this coming Wednesday, after which she'll be able to safely bless the
New York City streets with her potty!:)
We've attached some media to this email which we think you'll enjoy.
We'll be in touch as her spay date approaches per the adoption
agreement. Think this about covers it for now.
Kind regards and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns,
Sam, Luna and Bambi

I hope you are doing well. You have given me the perfect water dog. Besides that he is sweet, beautiful and everyone loves him! He gets along so well with all my other animals and I can't keep him out of the water anywhere we go!
I attached some pics while we were at the lake.
Anytime someone ask I tell them about your wonderful rescue and give them the information.
I will send more pics as Kona gets bigger which doesnt seem to take long :-) He is growing very quickly!

Hello Barb,
The bear is doing well. His name is now Harley. He is a wonderful puppy in so many ways and is very smart. The testing has begun to see what he can get away with. Typical of any puppy. I can't leave the room for a moment and he is looking for me. He is more than spoiled with his lifestyle, mommy works at home, tons of toys, two walks a day and lots of people around and sleeps in the bed. He is still working on getting use to the car and the boat. In time that will change. He only wants to swim when I am swimming although he does like to just play in the lake with his paws. He is growing like a weed getting tall and long. He has gained 8 pounds since he arrived. He had a case of whipworm, not uncommon for puppies, we just finished 3 days of medication and will treat him again in 3 weeks. The vet say he is really healthy. He has become quite the big baby very loving, except for mornings when he likes to wake me up by walking on my head. He is getting a little too big for that. When he gets I will end up with blacks and a broken from that. (LOL) I will send you some pictures as I have been taking them every week to show you how much he is growing.
Have a great weekend! Thank you again for the incredible puppy he is so special and loved so much!

Dear Barbara and Ted,
We are so thankful to you. Sweetie, now Sunny, is a great puppy. She is so affectionate, happy and playful. Thank you for all you have done to rescue her and care for her, we are so happy.

I adopted a pup this weekend. Vet check says she's in great shape. They made the whole process easy. They were prompt in responses in email and on phone both before and after Adoption. The adoption fees are some of the best around. My experience was a perfect 10!

Hello Barb,
I am very sorry that I never replied to your last e-mail. I greatly appreciate your concern and advice regarding my daughter. Has your daughter had the baby yet? Must be about time, if I haven't already missed it.
Just wanted to give you a little update on your old pal Buddy. We absolutely adore him. He is really a terrific and funny little fellow - well not so little anymore. I was afraid he was gonna grow into those big honking paws and he has! My girls saw the spot on your webpage about Buddy finding his forever home and were thrilled to see it there.
Buddy is a dog transformed - he has lost all fear of us and of other animals, every day noises, etc. Still will not let anybody outside the family touch him, but only occasionally freaks out. He will tolerate my sister who lives downstairs as long as she stays an arm's length away and her cat is in the room(?!?!). He loves to pounce on the cat and lick her. The cat is always happy to see him but once he starts with the kisses she hops onto the fridge and he sits and cries for her. Unfortunately he cannot resist lifting his leg on her litter box whenever he visits. Luckily my sister has a sense of humor and is happy to have me cleaning her cat box!
He has done well at the groomer's the 3 times he's been there. Unfortunately he is a smelly guy and just too hard to handle in the tub. That's ok, I don't like doing the paws and nails anyway. What else can I tell you. We bring him to the park every night to see all of his doggy pals (Lilly the Beagle being his girlfriend), and my 10 year old tries to exhaust him by running around the field and up and down a huge and incredibly steep grass hill. What usually happens is that she ends up getting tired first and tumbles down the hill with him very happily dragging her along at top speed. Boy can that dog fly!
He is currently in serious need of professional training since he believes the whole world is his chew toy, and as I said the dog can really move - grabs something and takes off all around - behind the couch, up over the back of it, does the obstacle course zig zagging through the legs of the kitchen chairs on his belly to make it under the cross bars. Can't catch him for squat. Then has the nerve to remain happily in a down-stay once you catch him. He'll stay there for 20 minutes wagging and huffing and the SECOND you release him he does the same thing again. It's worse than a room full of toddlers!!! His favorite activity is attacking the swivel sweeper I keep for the dog hair. Sometimes he just stands and barks at it until the kids turn it on and chase him with it so he can do battle. He is a nut! He also has a disturbing little foot fetish that keeps the kids in hysterics. He will pull a shoe right off your foot so he can lick your feet. Grosses me out no end but they have quite a game going with it. He stays put in the crate through the night now thank goodness.
Well, just wanted to let you know that scared little guy turned into an egomaniac who let's us worship at his feet (or with a tummy rub) now. He's wonderful and very happy. Thanks to you and your husband for the advice on the doggy friends - he loves all the neighborhood dogs and is utterly confused by the nasty little Yorkie that consistently tries to attack him! I wish he'd sit on her.
Best wishes to you all, particularly your daughter and the baby - I've kept them in my prayers and will continue to do so.
Best regards,
Barb 2-08

Hi Barbara,

Just wanted to send an update on 'Mindy'
(I named her that cos Mindy the Morky sounded a lot like the old tv show 'Mork and Mindy' so I felt it was a good name for her).
Anyway, she had a great check-up at the Vet's and weighs 1 lb 2 oz. She gets along very well with my 1 yr. old Shichon 'Benji'.
And I'm so impressed at how good she is at being paper-trained for such a tiny and young girl! She's only had a few accidents off the paper or puppy pads. It shows what a good job you did training her.
I'm sending a few pics. The people in the photos are my son and his girlfriend and my mother. My son is holding Benji (17 lbs.) to show the weight comparison.

Dear Ted and Barb, Ginger got a wonderful home!
It was very nice meeting you. The only thing Chris and I can say is "THANK YOU". You have given us a gift. We can now again say "puppies" meaning "two". We haven't said that since Murphy passed on this past May. Mac remembers us always greeting him and Murphy with just this one word. He remembered today when Ginger arrived. It went like a dream...like brother and sister reuniting again.
Small things like that moment to us, is what life is all about. So....Ginger is now part of our family thanks to your giving hearts.
She slept on the ride home, met Mac, (that was fun!) Ginger was so tired...she "explored" around the house...met our cat "Mufftang". ...had some water...a little bite to eat...and took her outside. Chris was preparing for the flea bath. Ginger was so so good. After the bath....well we pushed it. SWIM!!! We gave it a try..oh boy !!...we have a swimmer on our hands! Mac was "showing off" or trying to show her how its done.Well, we helped her in and she swam like she was in heaven!!! She has Murphy's spirit..we believe that after we couldn't get her out of the pool!!! She went right back in after we took her aqua dog off!!! After the swim...she came in and had a bony..and crashed...as you can see. But...Mac was a little confused..she crashed in Mac's favorite spot!! And Mac being the gentlman he is, layed on the floor next to her. What a guy! As of this writing, its 8:00pm, Ginger is still sleeping!!! She's been out like a light for almost 2 hours. She woke up once, checked around..got some kisses and hugs, and went right back to sleep. All I can say....this was meant to be...this was meant to be. ...
We will be taking her to the vet on Tuesday for a thorough exam and setting up her day to be neutered. She's still limping a little...it comes and goes. We think she'll be fine, and we will give her the rest she needs.
We wish you, Ted, and all your "gifts" tomorrow a successful day. May they all one day find a permanent home as loving as ours.
Godspeed...
Scott and Chris

I adopted my tiny puppy shelby (doxie/chi) mix back in July and she is now a whopping 5lbs and doing great..my only regret is that I did not take 2 of them from her litter so that she would have a playmate so...could you please let me know if you get any female puppies that will be on the tiny side..as Shelby is not very big and I am just thinking that it would be great for her to have a little dog friend. Thanks, Michelle

hey barbara,
the puppy is thriving. He is eating ALL the time. He loves everything. I think the transition was overwhelming at first. He is doing all the cute things that puppies do. He is so cute, and sweet and loves our other dog. He is also very smart. I swear he is almost potty trained too. He is a perfect match for our daughter. I'll keep you updated and send pics. My computer crashed so that's why it took so long to get back to you. Tell your mom thanks for talking to me the other day.
congrats on your new grandchild!

in his new home with his new family and most beautiful kids to play and love.

Hi Barb -
I just wanted to tell you that we got our new puppy. He's wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better addition to our family. The girls just adore him. We took him to the vet last night because we didn't get the medicine that you told me that he needed. She gave me more medicine and we made the appointment for his next check-up and shots. He's doing so good. He slept straight through the night and believe it or not fell asleep on the vets exam table. He's a little doll and we just love him! Thanks so much. Keep up the good work.
I have a printer cartridge and cell phone to send to you for redemption. I will also start saving up some "weight circles". I have asked my friends & family to send them to you as well.
Have a good day. Thanks again
Fondly,
